Last updated: 1 November 2026. By creating an account, placing an order, or registering a store on Shivio, you agree to these terms.
1. What Shivio is
Shivio is a marketplace connecting nearby local stores — and organisations such as schools and clinics that sell or issue goods without necessarily being a traditional shop — with the customers they serve. Shivio itself does not manufacture, stock, or set the price of what is sold; each store on the platform is an independent business (or organisation) responsible for its own goods, prices, stock, and — within the baseline set out here — its own return, pickup and delivery policies.
2. Your account
- You must provide accurate information when you register, and keep it up to date.
- One account is for one person. Sharing your login, or creating more than one account to work around a limit (such as a coupon’s per-customer use), is not allowed.
- You are responsible for keeping your password and any device you are signed in on secure, and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us immediately if you believe your account has been compromised.
- We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, attempts fraud, or abuses the platform or another user.
3. Orders, pricing and payment
- Prices, stock, and what a store will and will not sell you are set by that store, not by Shivio.
- Placing an order is an offer to buy at the price shown; a store confirming it is what completes the sale.
- Payments are processed through our payment partner, Cashfree, or paid in cash on delivery where a store offers it. Shivio does not store your full card details.
- A coupon code is worth exactly what it says — a percentage or fixed amount off, or free delivery — subject to any minimum order value, expiry date, and usage limit the code carries. A coupon has no cash value, cannot be exchanged for cash, and an expired or fully-redeemed code will no longer work, however it was previously advertised to you.
4. Cancellations, returns and refunds
These are covered in full in our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these terms.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the platform for anything unlawful, or to sell or attempt to buy goods a store is not licensed or permitted to offer.
- Post a review or any other content that is false, defamatory, abusive, or not based on a genuine experience with the product or store.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to another person’s account, another store’s data, or any part of the platform you are not entitled to use.
- Scrape, resell, or systematically extract data from the platform without our written permission.
6. Registering a store
A store or organisation registering to sell on Shivio warrants that it has the legal right to sell the goods it lists, that its listed prices and stock are accurate, and that it will honour the policies (returns, delivery, pickup) it publishes on its own storefront. Shivio may decline, suspend, or remove a store that misrepresents itself, sells prohibited or restricted goods without the required licence, or repeatedly fails to fulfil orders it accepts.
7. Intellectual property
The Shivio name, logo and platform software belong to Shivio. Content a store uploads (its name, logo, product photos and descriptions) remains that store’s own, and by listing it on Shivio the store grants us the right to display it as part of the marketplace. A review you write remains yours, and by posting it you grant Shivio and the relevant store the right to display it.
8. Limitation of liability
Shivio provides the marketplace connecting you with independent stores; it is not the seller of the goods themselves except where a listing explicitly says otherwise. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Shivio is not liable for a store’s failure to fulfil an order correctly, for the quality of goods sold by a store, or for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the platform. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising from your use of Shivio will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts where Shivio’s operator is registered.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continuing to use Shivio after a change is published means you accept the updated terms. We will update the date at the top of this page whenever it changes.
